Six pop-up testing sites will open around Columbus on Friday, part of the state's effort to identify potential COVID-19 hotspots with more aggressive testing.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine launched the pop-up site program Thursday with the Columbus locations.
"Our Minority Health Strike Force has teamed up with the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers and our Ohio National Guard to offer pop-up testing across the state. We picked these locations to make it easier for those living in under-served areas to access a test, but anyone - anyone - can come and be tested."
In coming weeks, DeWine says more pop-up sites will be deployed in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Portsmouth, Dayton, Xenia, Akron and Columbiana County. A map detailing private and community testing sites, as well as the one-day pop-up sites, is available here.
