Democratic State Senator Tina Maharath of Canal Winchester says she and her family have tested positive for COVID-19.
Maharath did not say how or where she may have contracted COVID-19. Maharath says her sister-in-law has died and two other family members remain hospitalized. On social media, She urges Ohioans to wear masks and stay at home if sick. Democratic State Representative Stephanie Howse announced in July she had tested positive.
