Survey: Most Americans Will Follow COVID-19 Safety Guidelines This Holiday Season

An Ohio State University Medical Center survey shows the majority of Americans plan to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines during the holidays. Those include social distancing and asking people with symptoms to not attend.  But a significant number may be exposing themselves or their guests to risk.  Nearly 40 percent say they plan to attend a gathering with more than 10 people.  And a third of respondents say they will not ask guests to wear masks.  Doctor Iahn Gonsenhauser says that kind of casual behavior fuels the spread of the coronavirus:

Gonsenhauser says if people do plan to have guests, seat them in groups.  But the safest strategy is to communicate virtually, and cancel in-person plans.
