OSU Will Qualify To Play In Championship Season

The Big 10 Conference will bend their rules, to allow 5-0 Ohio State to qualify for the December 19th championship. 

Athletic directors met virtually Wednesday afternoon and announced they were waiving the "six-game minimum" rule that was part of the COVID-shortened season guidelines that were created in September.

The Buckeyes have had three games canceled because of COVID-19 cases. The game agasint Maryland was cancelled because of COVID cases among Terrapins' players, the Illinois game was cancelled because of Buckeye cases, and this weekend's game against Michigan was cancelled when at least 40 cases were reported in the Wolverines' program.

Outbreaks have disrupted more than 110 games college football since August.

Ohio State will represent the Big Ten East against Northwestern.
