Man Who Allegedly Crashed Pickup Into Local Hospital Entrance Found Competent To Stand Trial

Fairfield County Sheriff's Office

A Baltimore man who authorities say deliberately drove into a hospital entrance, killing two people, has been found competent to stand trial on aggravated murder charges. A second psychiatric evaluation for 46-year-old Raymond Leiendecker was ordered by a judge after his attorneys cited inconsistencies with the first, which also found Leiendecker competent. Leiendecker had a psychological evaluation at the Diley Ridge Medical Center in 2019 before driving a pickup truck into the emergency department entrance.
