Brown, Portman Backing Proposed New Sanctions On North Korea

Both of Ohio's U.S. Senators say they are supporting the family of Otto Warmbier by backing proposed new sanctions on North Korea.  

Democrat Sherrod Brown says Congress has not forgotten the torture Warmbier endured while in a North Korean prison:

The new sanctions are proposed in the National Defense Authorization Act, which passed in the House and Senate and now heads to the president for his signature. Fred and Cindy Warmbier of southwest Ohio were present for the announcement:

Otto Warmbier died in 2017, a few days after being released to the U.S. in a coma.
