City Grant Will Help Keep Seniors In Their Homes

The City of Columbus is giving 18 thousand dollars in grant money to the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging to support senior housing stabilization efforts.

Outgoing City Council member Mike Stinziano says the need for assistance was mentioned several times during recent city-sponsored public forums on how to help seniors stay in their homes.

Stinziano says the agency will make an assessment before offering one-time assistance of up to 500 dollars to stabilize a senior's housing situation.
