The city of Cleveland wants to bill the family of Tamir Rice for ems and ambulance services he received after being shot in November 2014. The 12-year-old African-American boy shot by white Cleveland police later died at a hospital. The two officers involved failed to administer first aid, and four minutes passed before an FBI agent tended to him. The city has filed a claim in probate court seeking 500 dollars for ems and ambulance services. Rice family attorney Subodh Chandra says his clients are already upset that a grand jury declined to indict the officers.
The city has yet to comment.
