DeWine Says Internet Rumors About COVID-19 FEMA Camps Are Bogus

Office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine

State health officials Tuesday reported 656 new cases of  COVID-19 and 17 new deaths.

Ohio now has 131,992 cases and 4,293 deaths. And Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said Tuesday internet conspiracy theories  that mandatory FEMA camps are being established for anyone who tests positive for coronavirus are blatantly false.

DeWine says the state's non-congregate order has been in place since March and allows for living spaces such as hotels, motels, or dorms to be used for quarantine.  DeWine denies the shelters are being used to separate families, and says there has never been any intention to isolate children:

DeWine says the FEMA declaration approved by the president  includes homeless people in shelters, and first responders or medical personnel who don't want to expose their families to the virus.
