Four Columbus High Schools On Lockdown Following Teen's Death

Four Columbus high schools were placed on lockdown in fear of retaliatory violence following the death of 16-year old boy shot in southeast Columbus Tuesday evening.  Police say Zyshonne Dupri Jenkins died at Grant Medical Center early Wednesday morning.  Jenkins was shot in the stomach during an altercation with another man a East Livingston and Dellwood Avenues around 9:30pm Tuesday.  A witness says Jenkins and another man were arguing when they both pulled out weapons and shot at each other.  Police say the suspect fled on foot south on Courtright Road, and has not been identified.  Authorities say the shooting may be gang-related and worry about retaliatory violence.  Four high schools - Northland, Whetstone, Linden-McKinley and Mifflin - were placed on a precautionary lockdown today.
