Franklin County health officials are urging residents to stop vaping immediately.
The warning comes after the Centers for Disease Control reported 500 more cases of a potentially deadly lung disease linked to e-cigarettes, 17 of them in Ohio. Three of the cases are in Franklin County. All required hospitalization. No deaths have been reported. Health officials urge anyone who's used the products recently and is experiencing shortness of breath to seek medical help as soon as possible. Officials have not identified a specific product, substance, additive or brand as the cause of these illnesses.
