Giant Eagle To Stop Offering Plastic Bags

vtdigger.org

Giant Eagle says it will phase out all single-use plastic bags by 2025.

The grocery store chain made the announcement on Tuesday. Officials say reusable bags will be sold at stores for 99-cents. Paper bags will sell for ten-cents. A handful of Ohio communities have banned the bags, but state lawmakers are working on legislation to block those bans.
