clevelandclinic.org

The City of Columbus is now requiring restaurants to make healthy drinks such as water, low-fat milk and 100 percent fruit juice the default options offered with child meals. The order, approved by City Council on Monday, will be enforced by Columbus Public Health. Sponsoring City Council member Priscilla Tyson cites a 2019 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation report showing one in every six Ohioans age 10-to-16 is obese:

Restaurants that fail to comply will receive a warning for a first offense, a 25 dollar fine for a second offense and a 50 dollar fine for a third offense.
