About the Artist:
Comedian and actor Drew Lynch captured the hearts of America with his Golden Buzzer performance on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent (NBC), where he finished in second place. Since then, Drew has amassed millions of followers on social media while touring the world nonstop to sold out audiences. In February 2023, Drew released his second special ‘And These Are Jokes’ which is catching steam all over the internet. He also appeared in a recurring role in the final season of IFC’s hit series Maron as well as TBS’ Conan. All aboard! The Paul Busse Garden Railway is arriving at Conservatory station.

9 G scale model trains travel across 1,122 feet of track that runs high and low through themed destinations: Fairytale Land, Wild West Town, European Travels and the animal-centric Who Lives Here.

Guests can journey with the trains through a miniature world of 51 botanical models made from all-natural plant material. Special elements to add to your itinerary include an enchanted tree hollow, two waterfalls, a bubbling brook and plantings specific to each themed destination.

During this FREE family-friendly drop-in event, come celebrate Halloween at Thurber House with a variety of interactive and creative activities that are fun for all ages. You can stop by any time between 1-3 pm.

This event is best suited for ages 6+ (minors must have at least one adult with them). You can participate in as many activities as you like. Costumes are welcome!

Note: While our decorations are Halloween-inspired, this event is not a scary "haunted house" attraction. We do advise parental discretion if your child is easily spooked by Halloween decorations and ghost stories.

Discover the beauty of Mosaic Art at Brush Crazy! Did you know that mosaic art dates back to ancient civilizations like the Romans and Greeks? Let your imagination run wild as you piece together colorful tiles to create a masterpiece!

RSVP will be credited towards your in-studio purchase (Items range from $20 to $100+). We will show you how to create a mosaic on a wood cutout or ceramic using our DIY project sheet!
There are several options for mosaics.

1. Paint the project with acrylics, glue on the mosaics and you are finished.

2. Glue the mosaics to the wood or ceramic & leave it with us over night to dry.

Come back the next day to apply the grout and take home.

3. Do a combo of the above. Paint part of your project then create a mosaic area that you can grout if you want to. Bring your favorite beverage and snacks!

Murder Mystery: Sign up for a time slot, put your detective hat on, and come solve a murder mystery at the appropriately eerie (and haunted) Thurber House!

Book Bar: Grab a drink courtesy of our friends at Seventh Son Brewing Company, enjoy buffet-style appetizers, browse the pop up bookstore Tastes & Tomes, and settle in for good conversation and cozy fall vibes.

The murder mystery is open to adults and teens ages 14+. The Book Bar social mixer is for adults 21+ only.

Fall evenings during Pumpkins Aglow offer bewitching scenes and spooky surprises. These family-friendly events occur 5-9pm Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays and 5-10pm Fridays & Saturdays during October 7-11, 14-18, 21-25 & 28-Nov 1

Discover more than 700 hand-carved pumpkins glowing throughout themed displays—pirates, creepy crawly spiders, under the sea mermaids, and even aliens landing among the leaves. Each pumpkin is creatively carved by our talented Conservatory staff, volunteers and members. Wander, wonder, and don’t miss a photo at the iconic pumpkin house!

A variety of nightly food trucks, beer/wine/dessert/hot items from the Garden Café and the Watershed Bar will be open.
