The Ohio branch of Americans for Prosperity - a Virginia-based political-action committee supported by billionaires Charles and David Koch - is challenging a proposed income-tax increase in Upper Arlington. A spokesperson claims the anti-tax group has received several phone calls and emails from residents concerned about the November ballot measure raising the tax to 2.5 percent. The group spent almost 63 thousand dollars campaigning against the Columbus Zoo property-tax request that was soundly defeated by voters last May.
