The Ohio Senate has confirmed Governor John Kasich's choice to lead the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. Craig Butler has been serving as the agency's director since early January. He was confirmed over the objections of Democrats, who are concerned over recent revelations that the Kasich administration paid for but never released results of a 435 thousand dollar survey tallying clean-energy jobs while Butler was Kasich's senior policy adviser on environmental, energy, public utility and agricultural issues. Butler replaces Scott Nally, who resigned.
