Former State Lawmaker Gets Four Years In Prison

A former Republican State Representative was sentenced today to four years in prison for helping his company bilk investors out of thousands of dollars. 62-year-old Peter Beck resigned last year. He is charged with securities violations, perjury and theft. Prosecutors say Beck was CFO of Christopher Technologies when he misrepresented the financial status of the company to investors. Defense attorneys say Beck is a scapegoat.
