A federal district judge has ruled the ex-fugitive deep-sea treasure hunter from Columbus must submit to more questions about the location of 500 gold coins pulled from a historic shipwreck off the South Carolina coast. Investors in the 1988 discovery of the S.S. America say 63-year-old Tommy Thompson was evasive in responses on his first go-around in October and violates his plea agreement by refusing to say more. As part of his guilty plea to a contempt of court charge, Thompson must answer questions in closed-door sessions about the whereabouts of the coins. The judge ordered Thompson to answer more questions before his November 24 sentencing.
