California-based rappers N.W.A. are among the newly-announced inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The 2016 class also includes Chicago, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple and Steve Miller. All will be inducted on April 8. Hall CEO Joel Peresman.
N.W.A. was featured this year in a movie about their career called "Straight Outta Compton," which was a box office hit. Peresman claims the movie did not help the group's chances of induction.
