Suspect In Murder Of Danville Cop Pleads Not Guilty

The man charged with shooting and killing a Danville police officer last month has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges. Herschel Jones III is being held without bond in the slaying of Thomas Cottrell. Jones also is charged with assaulting an ex-girlfriend, and in a November burglary linked to the weapon used to kill Cottrell.
