Ohio Kroger Stores To Carry Heroin Antidote

Cincinnati-based Kroger is following the lead of the CVS pharmacy chain in making the heroin overdose antidote naloxone available at its stores without a prescription. A formal announcement will be made by state and company officials later today. Naloxone is routinely carried by paramedics. It is used thousands of times a year in Ohio.
