Whitehall Offering Kroger Tax Breaks To Relocate Store

Cincinnati-based Kroger says its fourth-quarter profit was 559 million dollars, exceeding Wall Street expectations. Quarterly revenue of 26.17 billion dollars missed Wall Street forecasts. Meanwhile, the city of Whitehall is offering the grocer tax breaks to move its store on East Broad Street to the site of a former Big Bear outlet at the Town and County Shopping center. The city wants to create a tax increment financing district and a community reinvestment area for the project. Kroger has not said if it will accept the offer.
