Strickland Unveils List Of Policy Proposals Designed To Help Women

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Ted Strickland of Ohio is appealing to women with a package of policy initiatives he says promote economic equality, health care access and affordable child care. He also has launched a coalition of 100 females who will lead his campaign's women's outreach efforts. Republican incumbent Rob Portman announced a similar coalition last October. Strickland says Portman voted against equal pay five times. Portman says a third of Strickland's appointees while he was Ohio's governor were females.
