Ohio's new unemployment rate is 5 percent, a decline of a tenth of a point from May. The Ohio Department of Job and Family services released the data this morning. It says non-farm payrolls increase in June by more than 12 thousand. 291 thousand Ohioans were jobless last month, down by 9 thousand from May. The department says the number of unemployed Ohioans has increased by 17 thousand in the past year. Ohio saw job gains last month in manufacturing and construction, while the biggest job losses were in the educational and health services sectors.
