The Columbus Downtown Commission has approved plans to build a park with fountains, a cafe and restrooms outside of the COSI building downtown, replacing several surface parking lots. An underground garage is also planned for the Scioto Peninsula. Construction on the 37-million-dollar project is scheduled to begin next month.
