Ohio Democratic Party chair David Pepper is criticizing Republican Congressman Jim Renacci, who has filed the paperwork to run for Governor next year. Pepper says Renacci has voted in lock-step with his party and would bring "nasty, D.C.-style obstruction to Ohio." Pepper says Renacci's votes to replace the Affordable Care Act and support President Trump's budget would hurt Ohio's budget and the state's efforts to fight the opioid crisis. Renacci says he will fight corruption in Columbus and provide a contrast to "career politicians" seeking the governor's office. He says his working class roots and business acumen make him qualified for the job.
