Defendant In Local Torture Case Gets 50 Year Prison Sentence

One of the the people charged with kidnapping and torturing three people in the basement of a Hilltop home in 2013 has been sentenced to 50 years in prison. Columbus police say 27-year-old Jonte Word is one of the people who kidnapped and brutally assaulted the victims who went to the North Harris Avenue drug house for legitimate reasons. Obryan Jones was sentenced to life in prison in 2015.  Marnell Jones was sentenced to five years. Belynda Coffman was sentenced to four years.
