Honda To Build Research Wind Tunnel In East Liberty


Honda says it will spend 124 million dollars to build a wind tunnel facility at the Transportation Research Center in East Liberty. The company says the new facility will be integral to aerodynamic and aeroacoustic research and development. The tunnel will feature wind speeds of up to 192 mph and will be capable of testing production vehicles and race cars. Groundbreaking is scheduled for this summer.
