Three puppies at the Franklin County Dog Shelter are being treated after contracting the canine parvovirus. Shelter officials say the animals became sick last week despite being vaccinated. The canines have been sent to an animal rescue facility and a veterinary clinic to get treatment and recovery services. None of the remaining 200-plus dogs at the shelter tested positive for the virus.
