Record Number Of Travelers Expected During 4th of July Holiday

orbitz.com

Triple-A is forecasting 44.2 million Americans will be traveling 50 miles or more from home over the 4th of July holiday, an increase of three percent from last year. The auto club says 1.9 million of those people will be Ohioans. Spokesperson Marie Montgomery credits higher levels of consumer confidence.

Montgomery says the vast majority of travelers will go by car. But airline travel is expected to rise for the eighth consecutive year. She says air travelers should allow for extra time to get through traffic and security.
