Environmental Groups Again Sue EPA Over Toxic Algae Blooms

Environmental groups have filed another lawsuit against the U.S. EPA over its decision not to declare the western Lake Erie basin impaired by toxic algae. The lawsuit says the lake should be designated as an impaired watershed because the blooms harm water quality. The agency announced in May that it wouldn't make the designation and paved the way for increased pollution regulations.  An EPA spokesperson declined comment on the lawsuit.
