A New Carlisle News photographer was shot by a Clark County Sheriff's deputy last night after the newspaper says the deputy mistook his camera for a weapon. Andy Grimm had left the office to take pictures of lightning when he saw a deputy performing a traffic stop. Grimm says he decided to take pictures of it. He was shot while setting up. Grimm underwent surgery at a local hospital.
