OSU Won't Rent Space For Speech By White Nationalist

salon.com

Ohio State University has denied a request for a group to rent campus space for a speech by white nationalist Richard Spencer next month. The school says there would be "substantial risk to public safety" if it accommodated the request from Spencer's National Policy Institute. Spencer's group had requested  extra security, noting his events elsewhere have drawn protesters. Several other campuses have rejected requests involving Spencer, citing safety concerns and the August violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
