State Officials Order Release From Prison Of Woman Convicted Of 1994 Murder

A Dayton woman will be released from prison on Christmas Eve, more than two decades after being convicted of the murder of a teen girl. The Ohio Parole Board has voted  to release Tyra Patterson, who was convicted of robbing and killing 15-year-old Michelle Lai in 1994.  Her request for parole had the backing of Lai's sister and several celebrities and politicians who believe Patterson was innocent.
