Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted says absentee ballot requests are higher this year than during the off-year election of 2015. Nearly 258 thousand absentee ballots have been requested, up by 25 thousand from two years ago. More than 69 thousand have been cast by mail and in-person, up 8 thousand from 2015.
