A Manpower Incorporated survey of central Ohio firms released this week shows hiring is expected to increase this spring.
25 percent of regional firms surveyed expect to add workers. 5 percent say they will cut jobs, while 69 percent say employment will remain steady. Manpower says regional firms need to hire for various projects, and the region's low jobless rate is also driving the hiring. The construction, retail, professional and business services, private education and health care, leisure and hospitality, and government sectors expect the largest number of hires.
