The Columbus man who was assaulted by an officer while handcuffed last year will serve two-and-a-half years in prison for assaulting a different officer in September of 2016.
32-year-old Timothy Davis assaulted the officer while being arrested. Davis filed a lawsuit after being assaulted at a convenience store in Driving Park last September. Officer Joseph Bogard said he would have told Davis, "I'm going to choke the life out of you." Bogard received a written reprimand.
