COTA Workers Reject Contract Offer

nacentralohio.com

The union representing Central Ohio Transit Authority bus drivers, mechanics and other workers has rejected the agency's three-year contract offer.

Union members are concerned about seniority and training requirements, and the agency's plan to use driverless buses. The deal provided annual raises of 3 percent and increases in health care costs. Employees, who are also seeking higher pay increases, have been working under terms of a contract that expired in December. The union expects both sides to return to the barganing table soon.
