FBI: Terrorist Attack On Cleveland Thwarted
Justice Department and FBI personnel say they foiled a suspected terrorist attack on the City of Cleveland by an American citizen.
FBI agent Stephen Anthony says Demetrius Pitts expressed his support for al-Qaida last year while living in Cincinnati, and talked about detonating bombs at a July Fourth parade in Cleveland and later in Philadelphia.
Federal prosecutor Justin Herdman says Pitts began crafting his plan when he moved to Cleveland in May.
Pitts was arrested this past Sunday and faces multiple federal charges.
