One Candidate Drops Out Of CCS Superintendent Search

WCBE files

The head of the Columbus Board of Education says one of the six finalists for a new superintendent has dropped out of consideration.

At a meeting last night, Gary Baker did not say why Kettering schools chief L. Scott Inskeep dropped out. The five remaining finalists are current interim chief John Stanford; Talisa Dixon of Cleveland Height-University Heights Schools; Jayson Strickland of the Kansas Public Schools; Terry Dade of the Fairfax County, Virginia schools; and Ava Tasker-Mitchell with Prince Georges County Maryland Public Schools. Interviews are scheduled to begin next week.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
