Ohio's October Unemployment Rate Unchanged From September

Ohio's unemployment rate in October was 4.6 percent, unchanged from September, but nine-tenths of a point higher than the national rate. 

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today non-farm payrolls increased by nearly 11 thousand from September, to a revised figure of nearly 5.7 million. The number of jobless Ohioans in October was 266 thousand, unchanged from the previous month. Ohio gained jobs in the manufacturing, educational and health , and professional and business services sectors. Ohio lost jobs in the service and financial activities sectors.
