Franklin County Purchases New Voting Machines

WCBE files

The Franklin County Board of Elections Tuesday approved purchasing 12 million dollars worth of new voting machines.

The new machines made by Election Systems & Software will arrive next year. Officials say the machines that offer voters electronic and paper ballots will improve security and voter access. 10 million dollars of the cost will be covered with state money.
