Lancaster parks officials are now starting to light the face of Mount Pleasant at Rising Park near the Fairfield County Fairgrounds.
The lights were tested last night. Plans to light the 250-foot rise have been around since the 1960s, but funding was not available until a 42-thousand dollar donation was received last year. The LED lights will be used 75 times a year on Fridays, Saturdays, and during special events.
