A bill named after the Ohio State University student who was murdered in 2017 by a man wearing an electronic ankle monitor has been reintroduced in the state legislature.
The Reagan Tokes Act failed to pass last year because it was brought up too late in the session and over concerns about its financial impact. Sponsors now hope to avoid running out of time again. The measure would address the way the state handles parolee's GPS monitoring and the workload of employees keeping track of convicted felons after their release.
