Columbus City Council last night approved a 49 thousand dollar contract with a Pickerington consulting firm run by a former city employee.
The Saunders Company is owned and operated by Gayle Saunders, a former spokesperson for the Columbus Department of Public Safety, the Columbus City Schools, Nationwide Insurance and Ohio State University. The firm will conduct outreach efforts during the city's search for a successor to police chief Kim Jacobs. Those efforts will be conducted in May and June.
