Local billionaire Les Wexner issued a statement Monday saying he was never aware of the illegal activity with which his former business manager, Jeffrey Epstein, has been charged.
The founder of New Albany-based L Brands says Epstein was involved in many aspects of his financial life but he severed all ties with Epstein nearly 12 years ago. The statement was emailed to L Brands workers. Epstein was arrested earlier this month on charges of sexually abusing underage girls. A civil lawsuit has been filed by a woman claiming Epstein assaulted her in Wexner's home.
