Franklin County's Opioid Death Toll Rose Last Year

youtube.com

Ohio Department of Health officials say the number of fatal drug overdoses declined for the first time since 2009.

Preliminary figures show overdoses dropped more than 22 percent last year. Separate data from the Centers for Disease Control show Ohio's decrease was more than four times the national decline of 5 percent. State data shows that most of Ohio's largest urban areas had double-digit declines. But Franklin County's death toll rose by 10 percent last year.
