Four Additional Hyatts Middle School Students Plead Guilty To Spiking Food Of Teachers

Four of the eight Olentangy Hyatts Middle School students charged in a plot to contaminate their teachers' food pleaded guilty and were sentenced Friday.

The students were sentenced to 100 hours of community service and must spend time cleaning bathrooms in public parks. Two were also sentenced to 30 days in juvenile detention, and two others  were given 20 days. The four must undergo psychological evaluations, and write letters of  apology to the victims. Two other students pleaded guilty and were sentenced earlier this month. Another two are awaiting court appearances. Authorities say the students put bodily fluids in the food they served to teachers in May during a student cooking contest.
