Columbus Enacts "Living Wage" For Municipal Workers

Columbus city leaders Wednesday announced all full-time municipal employees will now make a minimum of 15 dollars per hour.

Officials say there is a wage gap for working families and this is one way to address it. Mayor Andy Ginther notes state officials recently blocked cities from raising their minimum wages. Nearly 85 hundred workers are eligible.
