Columbus Man Dies In Federal Prison Of COVID-19

A Columbus man is the seventh inmate at Elkton Correctional Institution in Columbiana County to die of COVID-19. 

The Federal Bureau of Prisons says Richard Nesby died on Sunday. He tested positive at an area hospital on April 10th and was placed on a ventilator. The bureau says Nesby had pre-existing medical conditions. 51 inmates and 48 staffers at the lockup have tested positive. Meanwhile, five more inmates at Pickaway Correctional Institution have died of COVID-19, bringing the total to 18.  That's according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. 78 percent of inmates and 81 staffers have tested positive.
